Special Programs

International universities wishing to develop customized summer programs for their students are invited to propose credit or noncredit programs that build on combined areas of expertise and take advantage of the wealth of resources unique to our location.

We offer opportunities for program development in fields as diverse as leadership, international relations, business, the global economy, law, public policy, government relations, biomedical engineering, global health and the arts.

Your students will receive support through an orientation program, registration, advising and assistance with housing and dining. While on campus your students will also enjoy organized programs and exploring the city on their own.

Upon completion of a custom program, students in noncredit-bearing programs will receive a document confirming participation from GW. Students enrolled in credit-bearing courses may request official transcripts for courses taken.

GW will accept proposals from partner institutions and organizations for Summer 2023 programs beginning Fall 2022.

Past Programs

This one-week, one-credit program was designed to bring a select group of Turkish and Greek Cypriot high school students to GW for peace building and leadership development.

In coordination with the University of York, GW hosted a two-week noncredit course on Justice, Equality and Policy: A Global Perspective in Summer 2017.
