Cyprus Youth Entrepreneurship Institute

This one-week, one-credit program was designed to bring a select group of Turkish and Greek Cypriot high school students to GW for peace building and leadership development. GW has hosted this program since Summer 2013.

While on campus, students learned about conflict resolution from a variety of perspectives including business and entrepreneurship, history and the civil rights movement, religious tensions and social media movements.

This program integrated leadership training, experiential field-based activities, and classroom learning, to engage participants in both an intellectual and applied understanding of the democratic principles and practices of peaceful societies. The program strived to teach future Cypriot leaders relevant competencies needed for conflict resolution and global leadership.
