Health Promotion in Underserved Communities
Program Description
The Department of Psychology’s summer institute on Health Promotion in Under-served Communities presents students with an opportunity to examine the role of psychological and behavioral factors in health promotion and disease prevention. The institute will simultaneously examine the critical associations of cultural, racial, ethnic and other diversity factors with psychological and behavioral health outcomes.
The institute is designed especially for students who are interested in pursuing graduate study in clinical, health or social psychology or are preparing for careers in public health, medicine or allied health professions. All courses count toward appropriate major and CCAS requirements.
More information on the program can be found on the Columbian College's Health Promotion in Underserved Communities page.
