Current Openings:

  • Community Specialist

    We are currently hiring for two Community Specialist positions. The Community Specialists (CS) are supervised by the Student Life Coordinator. The Community Specialists will provide the Program team with logistical, administrative, and planning support. During the program, the CSs reside on the Mount Vernon campus and are assigned to supervise the Pre-College Community Facilitators (CFs). Additionally, the CSs support the Pre-College & International Summer program staff with residential management to ensure efficient programming, application of GW’s Protection of Minors Policy, assistance with student conduct and judicial issues, proper emergency response, development of safe community living, as well as enforcement of program standards and policies. The CSs also aid in responding to parental and student inquiries. This position will be required to work a non-standard schedule including shifts that begin/before 9am and end after 5pm. Background checks will be conducted on all applicants.

  • Student Life Coordinator

    The Student Life Coordinator (SLC) is a full-time, residential position that will work with the GW Summer and Non-Degree program team by providing administrative, logistic, and planning support for the Pre-College and International Summer programs. This includes assisting with the development of a comprehensive extracurricular and wellness plan that includes cultural, social, professional and personal development programming for the various program participants and that puts an emphasis on mental, emotional, and physical wellness. Programming should be tailored to each program population. The position will be based at the Mount Vernon Campus office and will report to the Director of Summer and Non-Degree Programs (reporting structure may shift when the Assistant Director of Academic Success and Summer Programs is hired). This position will be required to work a non-standard schedule including shifts that begin after 9am and end after 5pm. Background checks will be conducted on all applicants.

  • Logistics Coordinator

    The George Washington University Office of Summer and Non-Degree Programs is seeking support for its summer and pre-college programming for audiences that span middle and high school students as well as international undergraduate and graduate students. The Logistics Coordinator (LC) will work with the GW Summer and Non-Degree program team by providing logistical, administrative, and planning support to the various programs. The position will be based at the Mount Vernon Campus office and will report to the Director of Summer and Non-Degree Programs (reporting structure may shift when the Assistant Director of Academic Success and Summer Programs is hired).  This position will be required to work a non-standard schedule including shifts that begin after 9am and end after 5pm. Background checks will be conducted on all applicants.

  • Community Facilitator:
    Community Facilitators (CFs) will be expected to enhance the student experience by fostering communities that promote learning and development and preparing their peers to make positive contributions in the world. CFs are the primary contact for students and serve as role models ensuring that residents comply with university and program policies. CFs must exhibit a strong commitment to academic rigor, intellectual discourse, and the benefit of continual self-assessment. They will get to know their residents, model appropriate behavior, and assist in the development and implementation of educational co-curricular initiatives that promote an understanding of the academic and residential US college experience. All CFs in the Pre-College and Caminos Al Futuro report directly to the Community Specialists at the Mount Vernon Campus. Background checks will be conducted on all applicants.
