Shanghai Oversees Chinese Foundation Global Leadership Program
Summer 2019
In coordination with the Shanghai Oversees Chinese Foundation, the George Washington University hosted a two-week non-credit Global Leadership Program in Summer 2018. Students spent two weeks studying and reflecting on leadership as understood in its domestic and international dimension. This timely and relevant seminar provided students with up-to-date real-world insight on global issues designed to enhance understanding of leadership through the lens of US government, foreign policy, economic development, media, and diplomatic relations. The seminar is designed to introduce students to how leaders examine critical issues, develop strategies and policies, to address local and world problems. Students also evaluated and analyzed how U.S. domestic factors influence the way leaders develop, shape and implement global strategy and policy.
