Carol Sigelman

Carol Sigelman, Thelma Hunt Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychology, has been on the GW faculty since 1992. Affiliated with the Applied Social Psychology graduate program, she is a developmental psychologist who authors a life-span human development textbook.

She is interested in health issues in childhood and has conducted grant-funded research on children’s beliefs and attitudes regarding HIV/AIDS and other diseases, psychological disorders, and alcohol and drug use. She is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science.
